남서울미술관은 유동인구가 많고 대중교통의 요지인 사당에 위치해있다. 또한 국내에서 해체이전한 벽돌조 건물 중 하나이며 역사적으로 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 이러한 남서울 미술관을 공공공간으로써 지역 사회에 기여하면서 역사 전시 공간이자 미디어 상영공간으로 기능하게 리모델링 해보고자 하였다.
The Nam Seoul Museum of Art is located in sadang, which has a large floating population and is the main point of public transportation. It is also one of the brick structures that have been dismantled and relocated in Korea and has historical significance. This Nam Seoul Museum of Art was intended to be remodeled to function as a historical exhibition space and media screening space while contributing to the local community as a public space.
